In my blog last week, I spoke of the ramifications of not only no education, eduction sought only from social media channels.
I would like to add; in-house classes offers several benefits:
- Personal interaction. Face to face interaction with not only instructors, your peers enhances learning through immediate feedback and discussion.
- Structured environment. In house classes keep you on a schedule in an effort to make sure all material is covered. A structured schedule will help you maintain focus and discipline. I see this lacking in on line classes. Attendees have their cell phone, constantly leaving for restroom or drinks, talking with family members etc. It not only is an injustice to you, it’s not fair to the other attendees.
- Networking opportunities. In person classes provide opportunities to build relationships with classmates and instructors. This can be very beneficial for future career opportunities. In fact, some of my best educators came from attending one of my in-house Classes.
- Access to resources. Since Centre for Beauty offers this class in our office location, there are many resources right at your fingertips to explore and ask questions.
- Engagement. The dynamic nature of live instruction, including the ability to ask questions in real-time, most often leads to better engagement and understanding.
