Our Life is Full of Chapters!

Life is a story which we don’t always get to outline.  However, it’s a story which just continues to write.

Each moment, decision, and experience becomes a paragraph, and each season of change becomes a new chapter. Some chapters make us laugh out loud, while others bring tears and lessons that shape who we are.

As we move through time, it’s easy to cling to the familiar pages. We reread the parts in our life when things felt right, when we were comfortable and confident. However, to grow, we can’t be living in repetition, doing the same thing over and over again.  Otherwise, we are living in insanity.

Every new chapter holds a purpose. Some bring opportunity, Some bring closure, Some bring healing and and some remind us of our strength.

It’s natural to fear the unknown chapters. Starting something new—a career shift, a move, a relationship change, or even a personal transformation—can feel like writing in the dark. But when we trust that the story is still unfolding, we begin to see that every chapter, no matter how hard or unexpected, is leading us somewhere meaningful.

I’ve always felt that fear is stifling…..Fear can make for a very boring book.

What’s great though, is the beauty of life’s chapters is that none of them define us completely. We are not just our successes or our mistakes. We are the collection of all our experiences, woven together by resilience, purpose, and growth.

So if you find yourself in a difficult chapter right now, remember—it’s not the end of your story. The page will turn. And the next one may hold the peace, joy, and clarity you’ve been waiting for.

Every chapter, in its own way, is making you who you are meant to be.

I decided to share my chapters in my Beauty life.  Partially because I’m sure many of you can relate.  Yet also because I wanted to see it in writing.

Chapter One: Where it all Begins

The early days — I never really inspired to have a passion for beauty.  An application of press-on nails met creativity. This application (on an airplane BTW), is in my opinion…was where I was directed to go.  When I did meet the Beauty Industry with owning my Salon, it was long hours, learning the ropes, and discovering the joy of making people feel beautiful from the ground up. I wasn’t just shaping nails; I was shaping MY future.

Chapter Two: The Salon Years

Owning my salon — wasn’t my first real taste of leadership, independence, and responsibility. I was partners in an Office Supply.  However, my Salon chapter was filled with a different kind of hustle, pride, and some very  hard lessons. It’s where I learned not only how to build a Beauty business but how to build people (with little or no skills)— build client trust and loyalty,  and most importantly, build myself who also had little or no skills in this Industry.

Chapter Three: The Shift

As season’s of changed — I felt there was more. It wasn’t my nature to stay behind a desk. I had more to give, more to teach, more to share. This is where (without me knowing it), I began to redefine success — not just in dollars, but in impact.  I also began to do what I thought I would do when I was a little girl.  Teach!

Chapter Four: The Educator Emerges

When I was first invited to educate for a promising Nail Care line, I stepped into my purpose. Working with them and other Mfgs., meeting technicians, owners, distributors, leaders, Mfg. etc all over the Country broadened my scope of how big this industry really is. Teaching others. Elevating standards. Bringing integrity and care to the Companies I worked with who needed a strong voice. I became that voice — an advocate for professionalism, education, and empathy in beauty.

Chapter Five: The Specialist & Leader

My focus has definitely deepened — from surface beauty to wellness, from service to healing and education.. Through Centre for Beauty, I’ve built a brand. I’ve built a community. This chapter of my life turned into a chapter of influence, where my experience and compassion combined to help others grow in ways they never imagined.

Chapter Six: The Legacy in Motion

Where am I now — or where am I heading? I’m not just working in the industry anymore; I’m trying to shape its future. My teachings, my products, my passion for oncology care, and my classes whether it’s Technical or Business like my Missing Pieces class….I hope to leave a message — a lasting imprint.

This chapter is about legacy — mentoring others to write their own stories with strength, grace, and integrity.

Every chapter of my life has built upon the one before it — each one more intentional, more meaningful, and more about who I am.

And….my book is still being written…this is not the end!

Have you taken time to write your book yet?
