We did a lot of research and chose the Mfg. we work with very carefully. Our reasons for choosing the autoclaves that we did are as follows;

- 2 year warranty
- Repairs are done here in the USA
- Shipping times are efficient

What type of autoclave should you get?
There are many choices of autoclaves available to us. What I have realized is this;
- UV sterilizers are NOT autoclaves
- FDA approved is imperative
- Cosmetic grade is NOT best
- USA repair availability is HUGE

Why choose one autoclave over another?
There are many choices available to us. Centre For Beauty narrowed our search down to two(2);
- Top load autoclave
- Front load autoclave
The basic difference between the two which we offer is this;
- Our top load autoclave does not have a drying cycle. Therefore, using sterilizing pouches are not suggested.
Sterilizing pouches are used to store individual tools (or sets of tools) in one pouch. The tools are placed inside the pouch then sealed and placed inside the autoclave. When sterilized, the indicator dot on the pouch changes color indicating the tools have been properly sterilized.

Why should you choose to use an autoclave?
It is your choice to autoclave because none of our State Board’s’ or Department of professional regulations require autoclaves to be used. At one point Texas did have that requirement. However, they have turned back the hands of time and no longer have made autoclaves a mandatory rule.
The main reason to autoclave is simple. It is sterilizing to the highest degree. If you want too;
- Provide the highest standards of sterilization to your clients
- Provide peace of mind to yourself, your team, your clients
Then an autoclave is for you.
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”12px”][vc_column_text]Our top load autoclave is sufficient for a single user Salon. However, with discipline, a multi-user Salon can do very well with our top load autoclave.
With our top load autoclave, the important thing to remember is once the cover is open and the tools are removed…they are exposed to airborne particles.
Therefore, we suggest if working in a multi-user Salon, a routine is established to transfer the sterilized tools properly and efficiently;
- Wear gloves
- At location, place the sterilized tools & implements directly into an airtight container
By not wearing gloves you can transfer bacteria from your fingers to the sterilized tools and if transporting from one area of the Salon to another without being covered, the risk of airborne particles attaching to the tools defeats the purpose of using an autoclave.
If you are a single user, you can use your autoclave as a storage bin for your tools after they are sterilized.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”12px”][vc_column_text]Our front load autoclave is the most efficient for;
- Multi-user Salons
- Using pouches
Unlike our top load, our front load autoclave has a drying cycle. This means that after the tools go through the 30 minute sterilizing cycle, it goes through a 30 minute dry cycle. This dry’s the pouches inside the machine in lieu of leaving them on the counter to dry which, can cause harboring of bacteria.
Our front load autoclave also has the ability to add additional shelves. This is beneficial when wanting to increase the quantity of envelopes you wish to sterilize at one time. How many can you place in the machine? I have had my clients tell me they have placed up to about 12-16 pouches in at once time…with no problems.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”12px”][vc_column_text]The importance of a warranty!
Any piece of equipment at this price point and higher, should offer a warranty. I was so impressed when they Mfg. told me they offer a 2 year warranty. Another reason I chose this brand.
The other benefit of purchasing through Centre For Beauty is any needed management should the machine need to be repaired.
Let’s face it, it’s who you know. You can certainly contact the Mfg. directly, good luck talking with anyone. Once very small, this Mfg. has expanded during the virus. It was for sure a “during Covid” Business. With expansion comes growth, new employees, new job positions. Consequently, their service department has really missed the boat over the last few months. However, it is getting better.

I still pray to my God and thank him for not presenting me with challenges that could have been detrimental to the survival of my Business. What I use to do in the Salon which I would never think of ever doing again. (Using sandpaper files)
