Toenail fungus
The Nail Technician can not diagnose, and should not diagnose. However, we can be aware of what a fungus “may” look like and recommend at home care products for our clients. IF the area around the toenail or fingernail is red or inflamed, please practice the limits of your license and refer to a Medical Professional.

Lactobacillus is the ingredient in our Mykosept products. Used to treat acne for many decades, it proves to be very effective in recommending to clients whom have an indication of fungus on either their toenails or their fingernails.
Spray once daily directly on the nail or if wearing nail polish or a nail enhancement spray under the free edge of the nail.

Nail tincture
Contains Clotrimazole, an effective fungistatic ingredient for unsightly toenails or fingernails prone to fungal infections.
Spray once daily directly on the nail or if wearing nail polish or a nail enhancement spray under the free edge of the nail
Cracked heels
The biggest mistake our Technicians make is recommending the wrong products.
Cracks are different than just dry skin. When recommending a product for cracked heels, we must also recommend a product for dry skin. Once the cracks are sealed, your client would maintenance down to a product for dry skin.
To target the “meat through the feet” cracking, the following would be our recommendation.
LCN
Urea 40% foot cream
Urea is the active ingredient in our foot cream. 40% is typically an amount you would find at a podiatry office. LCN was the first to bring 40% into foot care into the USA.
Apply ONLY two(2) times per week directly to the affected area (cracks).
Once the cracks are sealed...maintenance down to either our 10% urea foot cream or 25% urea foot balm.

Cracked heel formula
Urea is the active ingredient in our Footlogix mousse formula. 25% urea is safe to use daily.
Our mousse formula's have no scent and absorb within 15-20 seconds into the skin.
Shake the can WELL before each use. Using a walnut size amount of mousse per foot, apply and massage.
Once the cracks are sealed....maintenance down to either our rough skin mouse, or our DD cream mousse.
Rough Skin
Our Technicians don’t realize rough skin is caused by a plethora of reasons Lifestyle (walking barefoot, diet, lack of exercise, medication)
How do you know it’s more than just “dry skin”? Rub the palms of your hand over the affected area.
If it feels like you are catching…it’s more than just dry.

Urea 10% foot cream
Containing 10% urea, saccharid isomerate and provitamin B5 makes our Urea 10% foot cream highly suitable for dry skin. Allantoin provides moisture and soothes the skin. Jojoba oil regulates the balance of the skins moisture contents and smoothes the skin.
Apply a pea size amount daily to entire foot.

Fast absorbing foot balm especially developed for hard, rough skin. Allantoin and panthenol provide moist. 25% Urea ensure velvety son feet. 7 wild herb-extract provides added hydration.
Apply daily to dry skin. Due to it's dispensing format, this product can not be over-used.

Dry Feet
Believe it or not, there are people who do not have issues with the skin on their feet. These are far and few between, although they do exist.
If you can run the palms of your hands over the heel and it feels dry but not catching…it’s probably just dry.
It is important we share with these clients the importance of using at home care products to help maintain their healthy skin.
